Who Is a Candidate for AF Laser Labiaplasty?

Laser labiaplasty is generally recommended for women with small to moderately enlarged labia minora. In these cases, the procedure can usually be performed safely in the clinic under local anesthesia.

For patients with very large, thick, or bulky labia minora, a traditional surgical procedure performed in a hospital is often the safer option because these cases carry a higher risk of bleeding and may require more advanced surgical management.

Are Stitches Always Necessary?

In many laser labiaplasty cases, stitches are not required.

However, every patient heals differently. If we notice any bleeding during the procedure despite using the laser, we will place a small number of fine plastic surgery sutures to control the bleeding and support optimal healing. Patient safety and the best cosmetic outcome are always our priorities.

Before Your Labiaplasty

Before undergoing the procedure, you should:

• Have no active vaginal or genital infection.
• Have no suspicious lesions, such as genital warts, that require evaluation or treatment first.
• Plan enough time for recovery after the procedure.

A consultation will determine whether laser labiaplasty is the most appropriate option for you.

Recovery After Labiaplasty

Recovery varies from person to person.

Most patients should plan to rest at home for 2–5 days. We generally recommend taking at least 2 days of rest, although some women may benefit from a slightly longer recovery period.

Most patients are able to:

• Return to normal daily activities after about two days.
• Drive themselves home immediately after the procedure.
• Attend the appointment alone without requiring someone to accompany them.

Your surgeon will provide detailed post-operative instructions, including proper hygiene and wound care, to help ensure a smooth recovery.

Before & After Results

Every woman’s anatomy is unique, and surgical planning is individualized.

During your consultation, we will show you before-and-after clinical photographs of previous patients (with appropriate consent) so you can better understand the expected results and discuss your aesthetic goals.

Consultation Fee

The consultation fee is AED 550. In most cases, this amount is deducted from the cost of the procedure if you proceed with treatment.

Follow-Up Care

Your care does not end after surgery.

We routinely provide three complimentary follow-up visits to monitor healing, answer your questions, and ensure you achieve the best possible result.

If a minor refinement (retouch) is required after complete healing, this can be discussed during your follow-up appointments.

Our Surgical Philosophy

Our goal is to create a natural, balanced appearance, not excessive reduction.

The labia minora play an important protective role by helping shield the vaginal entrance from irritation and infection. Over-resection may increase discomfort and potentially reduce this natural protection. Therefore, we preserve healthy tissue whenever possible while achieving an aesthetically pleasing result.

When Is Clitoral Hood Reduction Needed?

Some patients also have excess tissue of the clitoral hood. When appropriate, a clitoral hood reduction (hoodectomy) may be recommended to improve overall symmetry.

Because this area contains important nerves and requires meticulous surgical technique, hood reduction is generally performed in a hospital setting rather than in the clinic.

Does Labiaplasty Affect Sensation?

When performed using proper surgical techniques, labiaplasty itself does not normally affect sexual sensation. Protecting normal anatomy and preserving nerve function are essential parts of our surgical approach.
